Description

This women's long-sleeved UV swim shirt is perfect for all your swimming and other water activities (paddling, sailing, snorkelling...). UPF 50+ certified (maximum certification in Europe), it will effectively protect your upper body and arms from the sun's harmful rays, both in and out of the water.

Its stretchy, breathable fabric and slim fit ensure maximum comfort. The fabric of this women's UV protective t-shirt dries very quickly, so you won't feel cold when you get out of the water.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

This product is UPF 50+ certified.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is an index measuring the ability of a fabric or material to filter out ultraviolet rays. The UPF 50+ index is the highest UV protection certification, according to European standard EN 13758-1. An UV protective garment with UPF 50+ certification blocks over 98% of UV rays, protecting your skin from possible burns and lesions.

By way of comparison, a cotton summer t-shirt often has a protection factor of around UPF 5. This means that 20% of UV rays pass through the fabric, which is a lot for someone who has to stay out of the sun or is exposed to it for long periods of time.
