This product is made in China, in the Shenzhen region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, tailoring – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

Although it is resistant to chlorine and salt water, in order to prolong the durability of this product, we recommend rinsing it with clean water at the end of a day where it has been in contact with salt or chlorinated water.

If you wish to machine wash this product, we recommend that you follow the care instructions specified on this product sheet or on the label of your garment or accessory.

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

schönes Oberteil (kein Halt)

Das Oberteil sieht sehr schön aus und sitzt gut. Ich fühle mich sehr wohl damit zu wissen, dass nicht nur das Dekolleté sondern auch der obere Rücken geschützt sind. Ich finde es auch beim Schwimmen angenehm. Es wäre perfekt wenn es die Schultern komplett bedecken würde. Es ist richtig zu wissen, das es überhaupt keinen Halt bietet, der eingebaute "BH" ist nur ein etwas festerer Stoff mit Gummiband unten

Déçue de voir des étiquettes Made in China

Merci pour votre message et pour l’attention portée à l’origine de nos produits.

Ker Sun est une entreprise française, fondée et basée à Annecy, où sont réalisés toute la recherche et le développement de nos collections : conception des modèles, choix des matières, développement des prototypes et contrôle des standards techniques. Nos produits sont certifiés anti-UV UPF50+ selon la norme européenne EN 13758-1, avec des tests réalisés en France. Ce niveau d’exigence garantit une protection solaire efficace, constante et fiable.

Concernant la fabrication, elle est effectivement internationale. Nous produisons en Chine, au Portugal et en Tunisie, selon l’expertise technique requise pour chaque produit. La Chine, en particulier, dispose aujourd’hui d’un savoir-faire textile très avancé, notamment sur les vêtements techniques. Il existe bien sûr des niveaux de qualité très variables, mais chez Ker Sun, nous sélectionnons rigoureusement nos partenaires pour leur capacité à répondre à nos exigences, tant en matière de qualité que de respect des standards sociaux. Nos équipes se rendent régulièrement dans les ateliers pour le vérifier sur place.

Le choix de produire en Chine pour certains produits ne résulte donc pas d’un compromis sur la qualité, mais d’un besoin technique. La réalité du secteur textile est qu’en dehors du luxe, l’industrie européenne a été largement délaissée ces dernières décennies. Les usines françaises de confection de qualité sont rares, surchargées, et peinent à recruter. Il est donc aujourd’hui difficile pour une marque comme la nôtre, même engagée, de relocaliser massivement la production.

Enfin, la question du prix entre aussi en jeu : à qualité égale, un vêtement fabriqué en France coûte en général deux fois plus cher qu’un produit réalisé en Asie. Chez Ker Sun, nous faisons le choix de proposer des produits techniquement performants, accessibles au plus grand nombre, tout en veillant à rémunérer justement l’ensemble de nos partenaires et à garantir des conditions de production responsables.

Pour autant, nous proposons également sur notre site des produits fabriqués en Europe, notamment des chapeaux anti-UV, afin que chacun puisse choisir selon ses préférences.

Belle coupe et efficace

Un peu trop ras du coup pour moi et le nouage sur le dos est chic mais pas nécessaire pour nager. J’ai enlevé les coussinets pas utilisés pour moi. Mais très belle coupe et les bras libre sans manche, c’est tellement agréable
