This product is made in China, in the Shanghai region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, garment making – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

Fabulous, silky, lightweight, well made blouse. The best I've found so far for SPF 50 during this really hot summer. The loose fitting sleeve with elastic is very comfortable. This is made from a really great feeling fabric, please may we have more in this material. Maybe one with a stand up collar option too?

Wonderful to have a lightweight flowing UPF blouse that looks like any normal blouse. I would give 5 stars but the fabric used on the flowery Positano blouse is even more comfortable and silkier.

Unsere Artikel sind nach der europäischen Norm EN 13758-1 zertifiziert, die einen zuverlässigen UPF 50+ Schutz garantiert. Unsere Produkte sind als persönliche Schutzausrüstung (PSA) klassifiziert, was besonders strenge Anforderungen an die UV-Schutzleistung voraussetzt.
Wir beantragen keine UV Standard 801-Zertifizierung, da es sich hierbei um ein freiwilliges Prüfsiegel unabhängiger Institute (z. B. Hohenstein in Deutschland) handelt. Dieser Standard testet Textilien unter extremen Tragebedingungen (nass, gedehnt, gewaschen). Wir führen jedoch eigene interne Tests unter ähnlichen Bedingungen durch, die bestätigen, dass der UV-Schutz unserer Materialien auch im nassen Zustand vollständig erhalten bleibt.
