In Annecy, in the heart of the French Alps, we design our collections, select each fabric, create prototypes, and carry out UV-protection tests as well as quality control. Our team also provides attentive and accessible customer service there. From our logistics hub in Burgundy, in north-eastern France, your orders are carefully prepared and shipped worldwide.

This product is made in China, in the Shenzhen region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, tailoring – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Which certification or standard does this product meet for sun protection?

This garment is certified UPF 50+, providing you with the highest level of sun protection. Every fabric, regardless of color, undergoes rigorous testing under the European standard EN 13758-1 for each new production run, ensuring maximum, reliable, and safe protection.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

For which activities is this product designed?

This UPF 50+ sun protective product delivers maximum sun protection for your water-based activities. Engineered to withstand water exposure while maintaining its UV-blocking properties, it’s the ideal companion for swimming, canoeing, windsurfing, snorkeling, coastal walking, and various other water sports. Although it is resistant to chlorine and salt water, in order to prolong the durability of this product, we recommend rinsing it with clean water at the end of a day where it has been in contact with salt or chlorinated water.

If you wish to machine wash this product, we recommend that you follow the care instructions specified on this product sheet or on the label of your garment or accessory.

Does the fabric maintain its UPF 50+ protection when wet?

Absolutely. The UPF 50+ certification of this fabric holds even in wet conditions, ensuring your skin remains protected from UV rays, whether the clothing is dry or after extended time in the water.
