This product is made in China, in the Shanghai region, a cradle of textile expertise recognised worldwide. Dyeing, weaving, garment making – every step is carried out locally by our trusted partners, carefully selected for their know-how and the rigour of their production standards. This choice is deliberate: it allows us to combine outstanding quality, durability, and controlled pricing, without ever compromising your health.

For your safety, our UV-protective clothing is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European Union. As such, it is subject to strict regulatory checks, ensuring reliable and lasting protection, as well as consistent quality.

Yes, this product is made from a technical fabric that promotes airflow and wicks away moisture. This breathability helps you stay dry and comfortable, even during extended physical activity.

Is this product suitable for my skin type?

Ker Sun’s UV-protective clothing and accessories are designed to provide high-performance protection for all skin types, including the most sensitive.

Certified UPF 50+ and classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with current European standards, our products offer the highest level of textile protection against UVA and UVB radiation as defined by regulations.

Does the UPF 50+ protection ever wash out?

The UPF 50+ protection does not wash out.

Our sun protective expertise has allowed us to develop fabrics that filter UV rays mechanically. Thanks to the meticulous choice of textile fibers, their optimized density and our advanced weaving techniques, we guarantee a UPF 50+ protection, without added sunscreens, which persists throughout the life of the product, even after many washes.

To preserve the quality and durability of your product, we recommend that you follow care instructions carefully specified on this product sheet (see above) or on the label.

Do I need to apply sunscreen underneath my UPF 50+ clothing?

With Ker Sun sun protective clothing and accessories, there’s no need to apply sunscreen on covered areas.

However, for full protection, it’s important to apply sunscreen to any exposed skin. We recommend applying sunscreen 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplying every two hours or after swimming, in accordance with the instructions for the product you’re using.

Which certification or standard does this product meet for sun protection?

This garment is certified UPF 50+, providing you with the highest level of sun protection. Every fabric, regardless of color, undergoes rigorous testing under the European standard EN 13758-1 for each new production run, ensuring maximum, reliable, and safe protection.

Although it is resistant to chlorine and salt water, in order to prolong the durability of this product, we recommend rinsing it with clean water at the end of a day where it has been in contact with salt or chlorinated water.

Très agréable à porter

J'ai testé ces mitaines lors de mes dernières vacances notamment pour la marche, la voiture et le vélo. Le tissu est souple et peu chaud, on les supporte facilement même par canicule. Je ne les ai pas encore lavées ni me suis baignée avec, ce qui explique les 4 étoiles. Je recommande.

de vingertoploze UV-werende handschoenen zitten prettig. omdat ik ze pas een week gebruik kan ik nog niet zeggen hoe sterk en duurzaam ze zijn. ik draag ze vooral tijdens fietstochten.
voor mij zouden deze handschoenen ietsje meer mouw mogen hebben. een centimeter of 4 langer zou voor de oprukkende vitiligo op mijn onderarmen al verschil maken.
ik heb behalve de korte handschoenen ook de versie met mouwen. eveneens prettig maar erg lang. voor mij zou een tussenmaat ideaal zijn.

Na aangegeven ze hebben het product niet te hebben ontvangen, werd mijn geld teruggestort. Maar stuurde achteraf toch weer nieuwe handschoenen. Fijn materiaal, mooie diepe kleur blauw. Maar toch teruggestuurd, omdat niet de juiste maat had.

Efficace et perfectible

Je connais ces gants que j'utilise depuis plusieurs mois et qui font très bien écran aux uv. Cependant le silicone à l'intérieur se décolle très rapidement et se dépose en petit morceaux ce qui n'a rien d'écolo pour notre planète...

It’s remarkably hard to find good UV gloves that aren’t too thick, hot and uncomfortable. These are brilliant - effective, lightweight and cool on a hot sunny day, and they look good too. After burning the backs of my hands 3 times on hot sunny hikes this summer, despite easily rubbed off factor 50, I'm extremely pleased to have found them.
